IRS budget cuts have made headlines over the last couple of years. One result of these cuts is an increase in issue-focused campaigns to determine which tax returns should be audited. What these campaigns will consist of, and how many of them, is still to be decided.
At The Gonzales Group, our tax professionals are well prepared so that an audit is more of an annoyance than a looming, dangerous black cloud. We let our clients know that their bookkeeping and accounting is in competent hands and that tax returns are lawfully done.
So if you are one of those who gets a pang of fear when you read about IRS audits, we understand. If you are one of our clients, however, we hope you can rest assure that the work we have already done for you should make any potential audit a less painful process (although no one could ever promise a complete anesthetization). If you are not yet one of our clients, don’t you think it is time to look into becoming one?
